A man is dead in a motorcycle crash in Sparks. Police say the motorcycle struck an SUV that turned in front of it, ejecting the motorcyclist. It happened yesterday at Victorian Avenue and 19th Street. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

They slapped 41 drivers with citations and made three arrests for driving under the influence, and another arrest for reckless driving and child endangerment Saturday. Police say as the weather gets warmer, expect more enforcement operations.
Truckee Meadows firefighters stop a fire from burning out-of-control. They were called to Disc Drive and Sparks Boulevard in Spanish Springs yesterday. They say the fire started on a rancher’s property and scorched between 10 and 15 acres. No word yet on the cause of the fire.
