The health district says the UK COVID-19 variant is spreading in Washoe County. The health district reports 31 new cases of the more contagious variant in the last 10 days alone. They believe the variant may be spreading at youth sporting events, private gatherings, and travel. There are currently 45 known cases of the variant in Washoe County.
