Police stopped drivers 37 times as a part of the operation and also issued five citations. Police conducted the operation Saturday night and early Sunday with the help of a grant from the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety.

Police say 48-year-old Edward Long of Sparks was found dead inside a white Jeep that had crashed into a tree on Sutro Street Tuesday. But officers say the man’s injuries aren’t consistent with a crash; his death remains under investigation.
