Truckee Meadows firefighters stop a fire from burning out-of-control. They were called to Disc Drive and Sparks Boulevard in Spanish Springs yesterday. They say the fire started on a rancher’s property and scorched between 10 and 15 acres. No word yet on the cause of the fire.

A second person is arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting in Spanish Springs. Police handcuffed 22-year-old Austin Patton of Sparks Wednesday. They say Patton and Kyler Acker fired shots into a home on Martell Place on March 16th, damaging a home and a vehicle.
The VA Hospital in Reno needs more doctors. They’re seeking volunteer retirees with medical training to help get shots into veterans’ arms. The VA has given out 16,000 doses of vaccine so far.
