Washoe County building permanent vaccination site

Washoe County is building a permanent vaccination site. Construction is underway at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center. The health district says it will use the site both COVID testing and vaccination. It could also be a place where booster shots are distributed. There’s no word yet on when the site will open.

3 Sparks men indicted in fentanyl trafficking case

A federal grand jury has indicted three Sparks men on charges of distributing fentanyl and other drugs. Jesse “Kay” Arevalo, Francico Navarro-Delgado, and Jaime “Chivo” Munoz all face various drug charges. Court records say Arevalo used high school students used high school stuents in southeast Reno to sell fentanyl pills.
