Nevada casinos took in more than $1 billion in winnings last month, according to new figures from state regulators, the first time the gaming win passed that mark since the COVID-19 pandemic began. The total gaming win was up more than 72% from March 2020, when the outbreak started.

The Carson City School District Board of Trustees met Monday evening to discuss the option of students returning to the classroom full-time for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. The board voted in favor of staying on the current schedule, with Mondays dedicated solely to remote learning.
