Casino mogul Sheldon Adelson has died. The billionaire Republican donor and CEO and Chairman of Las Vegas Sands took a leave of absence from his business last week due to his cancer treatments. He suffered from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. At one point, he was declared the third richest man in the world. Adelson was 87.

Leaders of Washoe Schools, UNR to wait to get COVID vaccine

Washoe Schools Superintendent Kristin McNeil and UNR President Brian Sandoval will both wait their respective turns to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Mobile home destroyed in fire in Golden Valley

A mobile home fire in Golden Valley leaves a family homeless. Firefighters were called to the 7800 block of North Virginia Street last night. They stopped the flames before they could spread and everyone made it out safely. Firefighters suspect an electrical issue may have sparked the fire.

Reno business owner struck by vehicle

A business owner is struck by a vehicle in Reno. Police say it happened yesterday afternoon near Kietzke Lane and Apple Street. Police say the business owner was taking photos when they were struck. The driver is cooperating, and police say the victim is expected to be OK.
