Three Nevada lawmakers test positive for COVID-19. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports they are state Senator Pat Spearman, Assemblyman Howard Watts the third, and Assemblywoman Rochelle Nguyen. They each described their symptoms on Twitter. Spearman was hospitalized with the virus last week, but says she’s now feeling better. The Democrats represent the Las Vegas area.
A DUI tree at Nevada Highway Patrol’s headquarters in Reno had more ornaments on it in 2020 than it did in 2019. Each ornament represents the number of DUI arrest made in the month of December. In 2020, the tree had 70 ornaments compared to 41 in 2019.
