Educator charged with child sex crimes worked part-time at UNR

A local educator charged with sex crimes against a child used to work for the university of Nevada Reno. 73-year-old Bob Stapp was a part-time instructor in the College of Business. A university spokeswoman says he’s no longer employed there. Stapp faces three counts of lewdness with a child under 14.

Nevada facing second epidemic: a mental health crisis

Nevada health officials are coming face-to-face with a second epidemic. They say depression and anxiety are soaring amid the pandemic. Crisis hotlines have seen a dramatic increase in calls. Fire damages a Sparks home. Firefighters were called to Oak Ridge Drive this morning. They arrived to find a home filled with smoke. No one was hurt. Firefighters say who ever lived there was a hoarder. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Nevadans still being evicted despite moratorium

Despite the governor extending the eviction moratorium, more Nevadans are finding themselves out on the street. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office tells News 4 it received more than 900 lockout orders from the court since March 1st. It served more than 670, and couldn’t get to others due to a backlog.
