It’ll be a white Christmas on Lake Tahoe, but not in Reno

It’s looking like a white Christmas on Lake Tahoe. The National Weather Service says a Winter Storm Watch goes into effect for the Tahoe Basin Christmas Day and lasts through Saturday morning. Up to 8 inches of snow is expected at lake level and up to a foot in areas of higher elevation. With it comes strong winds in the Sierra-with gusts of up to 85 miles per hour. Expect difficult travel through mountain passes. Here in Reno, no white Christmas, expect just rain.
