Washoe Co. adds 4 COVID deaths, 400+ cases

Washoe County adds four COVID-19 deaths and more than 400 new cases. All four deaths involved persons with underlying health conditions. The county added 68 recoveries and 6 hospitalizations for a total of 289.

New wind warning signs go up on US 395 North

New wind warning signs are going up in the North Valleys. NDOT says a new system being installed along US 395 North will flash when wind gusts exceed 45 miles per hour. An Olympic athlete, who used to live in Reno, gets a Congressional Gold Medal. President Donald Trump awarded the honor to Greg LeMond, an American cyclist, who attended Wooster High School. At 18, he was the youngest cyclist in history to be selected for the U.S. men’s Olympic team.

Hospitalizations Going Up

The number of people hospitalized in Nevada with COVID-19 has more than doubled over the last month, officials said Monday, increasing to 1,617 hospitalized patients statewide and up from 692.
