The Washoe County Sheriff has withdrawn his request to charge members of the public $200 per hour to make copies of police body camera footage. Washoe County adds four COVID-19 deaths and more than 400 new cases. All four deaths involved persons with underlying health conditions. The county added 68 recoveries and 6 hospitalizations for a total of 289.
The Quad-County region adds two new COVID-related deaths-a Carson City man in his 90s and a Lyon County man in his 70s. That brings the death toll to 58 for the region. The area also added nearly 150 cases and 32 recoveries.
New wind warning signs are going up in the North Valleys. NDOT says a new system being installed along US 395 North will flash when wind gusts exceed 45 miles per hour.
