Casino industry says it needs financial aid amid ongoing COVID crisis

Nevada’s casinos are among those seeking relief from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The American Gaming Association says the outbreak and associated shutdowns cost states more than $2 billion in lost tax revenue. President Bill Miller says the industry is coming back, but since they’re still operating under restrictions, they need financial aid.

8 hurt in ATV crash near Fallon

Eight people are hurt after two ATVs collide in the Sand Mountain Recreation Area near Fallon. It happened Tuesday night. The extent of those injured isn’t know. The Bureau of Land Management is investigating the crash.

Reno man convicted of child sex trafficking

A Reno man is convicted of sex trafficking after a week-long trial. 28-year-old Kevin Belcher was found guilty of sex trafficking a child. Investigators say they found explicit materials marketing minors for prostitution and say Belcher also had sex with his underage victims.
