El Dorado Co. sees 1st COVID-19 death

El Dorado County sees its first COVID-19 death. The death was reported in a Lake Tahoe man, over the age of 65. The county has just shy of 200 active cases with the bulk of them in the Lake Tahoe Basin.

A Nevada judge said Monday the state unemployment office has to begin paying pandemic relief benefits to out-of-work gig and independent workers who haven’t completely stopped working and were cut off from receiving payments. One person is dead and more than a dozen hurt after a fire in midtown Reno. It broke out at 5:30 a.m. Monday on Broadway Boulevard. 12 UNR students test positive for COVID-19

A dozen UNR students have tested positive for COVID-19 over the past three weeks. The university is doing widespread testing as it ramps up to officially reopen. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports all student athletes are being tested as they return to campus, but the university would not say whether they were among the dozen cases.
