Washoe County’s death toll from COVID-19 remains unchanged from the day prior. It stands at 102. The county added 65 cases, bringing the number of active cases to just shy of 1,100. Recoveries jumped by more than 200 and hospitalizations fell by 6.
El Dorado County sees its first COVID-19 death. The death was reported in a Lake Tahoe man, over the age of 65. The county has just shy of 200 active cases with the bulk of them in the Lake Tahoe Basin.

OSHA says O’Reilly Auto Parts in Dayton was slapped with an $8,600 fine after non-compliance was observed during an initial visit and a follow-up visit. A dozen UNR students have tested positive for COVID-19 over the past three weeks. The university is doing widespread testing as it ramps up to officially reopen. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports all student athletes are being tested as they return to campus, but the university would not say whether they were among the dozen cases.
