The Washoe County School District teachers’ union said it does not support educators returning to the classroom in a letter sent to Superintendent Kristen McNeill and other school officials. The Washoe Education Association said its board of directors unanimously approved the decision to send a letter to School District officials, asking them to reconsider in-person teaching plans for at least the first nine weeks of school.
