1 hospitalized after crash in Reno

One person is hospitalized after two cars collide at Keystone Avenue and West 2nd Street in Reno. It happened yesterday. Police say a car that fled the scene crashed through a fence and hit a parked car in the area. The driver was located and did return to the scene.

Man, shot killed in Reno identified

We now have the name of a man shot and killed in Reno. He is 39-year-old Luis Lira of Las Vegas. Police say a landlord shot Lira in self-defense Monday on the 2600 block of Yori Avenue after he had battered and strangled his girlfriend and then returned to the apartment complex looking for her.

RNO Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19

Reno-Tahoe International Airport officials confirm one case of COVID-19 among employees. Officials say the employee works for one of the nine airlines that operate out of RNO, but did not specify which one for privacy reasons. A representative said the employee began to feel ill and went home, later testing positive for COVID-19.
