Washoe Co. Health Experts say COVID-19 Surge Wont come Until May

Health experts expect the next week or two to be the toughest ones yet, on a national level. At a local level, they expect a surge of COVID-19 cases in the next few weeks. Various models show that the peak of the number of total active cases could happen as early as April 20, but Washoe County Health District officials do not expect that. Health Officer Kevin Dick says other models show Nevada’s numbers peaking by May 12.
