Forecasters say NV’s COVID-19 surge could be in mid-May

Nevada’s COVID-19 surge could be coming later than other places. Health officer Kevin Dick says some models should Nevada peaking May 12th. That same model shows Washoe county peaking May 23rd. Nationally, forecasters say these next two weeks will be the toughest yet. Washoe County is up to at least 281 cases of coronavirus and 4 deaths. 21 people are hospitalized. So far, 30 persons have recovered.
