Boy, 7, falls out of chairlift at Northstar

A boy is hospitalized after falling out of a chairlift at a Truckee ski resort. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports the 7-year-old boy fell from Vista Express Lift at Northstar. The condition of the boy, who was transported to Renown, is unknown.

Dog saved from drowning dies in South Lake Tahoe

A dog, that South Lake Tahoe Police rescued from nearly drowning, has died. Witnesses say the large Siberian Husky was hurt and bit a person, then began swimming in Lake Tahoe. They rescued the dog before it drowned, but Lobo died the next day.
