The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is working with the Nevada Highway Patrol to investigate a fatal crash on Muir Drive near CC Meneley Elementary School early Thursday morning. Deputies say the driver in the Gardnerville crash has not been identified yet and they were asking drivers to avoid the area.

A Washoe County man is arrested on child sex assault charges. 24-year-old Kyle Gephart was arrested Wednesday. Police say he knows his victim, who’s under the age of 14. He also face charges of lewdness with a child and producing and possessing child porn.

Carson City is working to preserve a piece of its history. The city says just because the Café at Adele’s has closed-doesn’t mean the building has to go too. 2 News reports the Carson City Historical Society is working to raise funds to relocate the building. It has about a month until it’ll be demolished.
