Nevada State HS student from Reno gets into West Point

A Nevada State High School from Reno is heading to West Point. KOLO-TV reports Alana Pankopf was accepted in the prestigious U.S. military academy. Pankof is taking part in the Western Nevada College’s Jump Start program. She calls her acceptance an “honor and a privilege.”

Mammovan is back in northern Nevada

The mammovan is making the rounds in northern Nevada. It offers mammograms at reduced fees for women without insurance. It’ll be in Dayton today at the Reno Events Center tomorrow, and the Community Health Alliance in Reno Wednesday before it heads to Carson City.
