While COVID-19 has been bad for most business, sales at gun stores are soaring. Reno Guns and Range says it’s offering curbside pick-up to limit spread of the virus, and says they’re seeing an “enormous” amount of new firearms sales.
In response to COVID-19, St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center has updated its visitor policy. Patients will only be permitted one visitor between 4 p.m. And 8 p.m. Those giving birth may only have their partner present. The only exception-patients who are near the end of life may have two visitors.
A suspected serial child molester is arrested in South Lake Tahoe. Police handcuffed 51-year-old Christopher Flanders after a three month investigation. He faces nearly 100 felony counts of sexual abuse of a children. He’s being held on $2 million bail.
Two people are hospitalized after a crash in Sparks. It happened Thursday at Rock Bouelvard and Victorian Avenue. Police say an RTC bus was turning left when a car went through a yellow light and struck the bus. Two people on-board the bus were hurt.
Reno firefighters knock down a fire at a local apartment complex. They arrived at the scene near Berrum lane and Plumas Street last night to find a pool community room completed engulfed. No one was hurt. Police believe the fire may’ve been intentionally set.
