Changes at WCSO Detention Facility

Increased social distancing precautions at the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility are causing changes to normal visiting procedures and the company that provides the jail’s current phone system, Legacy Inmate Communications, just implemented a new program to provide inmates with free weekly phone calls during the next four weeks.

Care Chest Changes its Model

In an ongoing effort to protect the safety and well-being of our clients, volunteers and dedicated team members, CARE Chest will suspend mobile and rural outreach distributions effective immediately. CARE Chest team members will, instead, deliver participating client’s equipment and supplies to their home.
