There may be snow on the ground, but that doesn’t mean we’re in the clear from wildfires. Gov. Sisolak to Waive Certain Requirements for Unemployment Benefits

Governor Sisolak announced on his Facebook page that he’s instructing the State of Employment and Security Division to waive certain requirements for unemployment on Wednesday. He said the search for work requirement will be waived, along with the seven day waiting period for Nevadans to receive unemployment benefits.

DCSO to Increase Patrols

In response to the order issued by Governor Sisolak Tuesday regarding the mandatory statewide business closures, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will be increasing their patrol presence to protect local businesses. Also, they are asking people to be mindful and please be advised to practice caution when participating in outdoor activities.
