Truckee River clean-up nets 17 tons of trash, debris

Seventeen tons of trash were removed from the Truckee River over the weekend. Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful hosted a clean-up Saturday in nearly two dozen spots along the river. Some of the weirder finds-two shopping cars and five televisions. They also picked up 25 tons of invasive weeds and yard waste.

Street Vibrations arrests down significantly from 2019

Arrests at the Street Vibrations fall rally drop significantly. Reno police made just two arrests Sunday, one for DUI and another on an outstanding warrant. Nearly three dozen were cited for traffic violations. That’s down from 16 arrests in 2019. The event took 2020 off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
