Seventeen tons of trash were removed from the Truckee River over the weekend. Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful hosted a clean-up Saturday in nearly two dozen spots along the river. Some of the weirder finds-two shopping cars and five televisions. They also picked up 25 tons of invasive weeds and yard waste.
A hospital in Elko County is pleading with residents to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital in Elko says its ICU and surgical units are near capacity. The hospital, like many across the country, has had to postpone elective surgeries to treat COVID patients.
Arrests at the Street Vibrations fall rally drop significantly. Reno police made just two arrests Sunday, one for DUI and another on an outstanding warrant.
