Hot and dry weather leads to flare-ups with the Caldor Fire. Crews were forced to use flames to reduce vegetation between Margaret Lake and Strawberry Creek to stop the fire from getting closer to Christmas Valley. The 221,000-acre fire is 76% contained at this time. South Lake Tahoe has postponed its Welcome Back Tahoe, Honoring Our Heroes event tomorrow as a result.
