The Tamarack Fire, burning south of Gardnerville, is now more than 80 percent contained. Firefighters say activity is low, and they don’t expect the fire to spread though full containment is still nearly a month away. It’s burned nearly 69,000 acres since being sparked by lightning on July 4th.
