Driver Arrested in Fatal Hit & Run

One person is dead following a rollover crash on the southbound US-395 on-ramp at Panther Valley Tuesday morning. Authorities later located the suspect vehicle and arrested the driver, identified as Jennifer Dietsch. The 20-year-old was booked at the Washoe County Jail and is charged with Felony DUI causing death and a host of other charges.

Police look for woman who struck boy on a bike in Sun Valley

Washoe County deputies are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run that injured a child. Police say a woman struck a 10-year-old boy, who was riding his bike in a Sun Valley neighborhood Sunday night. Police say the woman waved the boy across the street then accelerated into him and took off.

New Safeway opening in south Reno

A new grocery store is opening in south Reno. Safeway will open its doors at the Damonte Ranch Town Center Wednesday. The store on the 1000 block of Steamboat Parkway will be open 24 hours, has a coffee shop inside it, and will employ 170 people.
