Nevada won’t likely meet 75% vaccination goal

Nevada won’t likely meet its goal of vaccinating 75% of the population. But health officials say progress is paying off on the vaccination front with new cases of COVID-19 at their lowest level since June of 2020. Of Nevadans 12 and older, 46% have had their first shot. 37% are considered fully vaccinated.

Man killed in rollover crash in Stead identified

A man who was killed in a rollover crash earlier this month in Stead has been identified. He is 32-year-old Christopher Shaw of Reno. Police say Shaw’s SUV was heading northbound on U.S. 395 on May 7th when it exited at Stead Boulevard at a high rate of speed and overturned, killing him.

Carson City motel sees its business license revoked

A Carson City motel has its business license revoked. The owner of the Frontier Motel had been given a month-long reprieve to address several concerns after inspectors found mice and bedbugs.
