A Gardnerville man is killed in a crash. Police say 24-year-old Justin Adams drove his SUV off the road on SR 88 at Kimmerling Road Tuesday; he ultimately struck a power pole and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Reno man is indicted on child porn charges. 24-year-old Ryan Eley has been under investigation since 2018 when law enforcement says it learned Eley had flash drives, hard drives, and cell phone photos of child porn. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

The more contagious UK variant strain of COVID-19 is spreading more rapidly in Washoe County. Health officials say we have 67 new cases of the variant, bringing the total to 112. They believe the cases are linked to private gatherings, workplaces, and youth sport events.

A woman is arrested in Fallon following a months-long drug investigation. Police handcuffed Jillian Sasser on charges of drug possession and possession of a firearm. Police say inside her home, they found 26 grams of meth, prescription meds, and fentanyl patches.

A standoff in south Reno ends without an arrest. Police had surrounded an apartment at Geiger Grade and Veterans Parkway yesterday, believing a person wanted in a parental abduction in California was inside. When they busted in-no one was there.

Burning Man is backing off comments that COVID-19 vaccinations will be mandatory to attend their week-long music festival in the Black Rock Desert.
