Security being stepped up in Carson City ahead of national violence threats

Local law enforcement agencies are upping security in and around the state capitol building after the FBI issued a bulletin about possible violence at capitals in all 50 states. Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong acknowledged the threats, but says they’re not that difference from what his department received at the start of the pandemic. He remains confidence his department can handle it. Governor Steve Sisolak says a task force is being set up to deal with threats of violence.
