The winter storm has led hundreds of people experiencing homelessness to sign up for beds at Reno’s homeless shelter on East Fourth Street, which expanded operations this winter due to the pandemic in an effort to keep people socially distanced. A man is charged in connection with vandalism at the Sparks courthouse. Police arrested Derek Kuchler who they say threw rocks at the windows of the Sparks Justice Court last Friday. Damage amounted to about $1,300.. A second suspect remains on the loose.
