Sisolak extends ‘pause’ through Jan. 15, 2021, encouraging Nevadans to stay home when possible

Washoe adds 6 COVID-19 deaths

Washoe County adds six COVID-19 deaths for a total of 363. All of the persons had underlying health conditions. The county added 514 cases Sunday and 130 recoveries. 256 persons remain hospitalized with the virus in the county.

Woman killed in crash near Fernley

A woman is dead in a single-vehicle crash on U-S 50 Alternate near Fernley. Troopers say the crash happened Sunday morning just after snow had fallen. They say the woman’s vehicle rolled over, killing her.

Shortcut turns into rescue for stranded driver, dog

Washoe County deputies rescue a stranded driver and his dog. Police say the 38-year-old man from Fernley took an alternate route and got lost on a dirt road in Sierra County on Saturday night. Rescue crews had trouble reaching him because of the weather. They didn’t find him until about 4 p.m. the next day.

Wolf Pack to play Tulane in Famous Idaho Potato Bowl
