Nevada remains on a statewide “pause” with Governor Steve Sisolak extending it through January 15th, of 2021. During the pause, Nevadans are asked to stay home as much as possible. Washoe County adds six COVID-19 deaths for a total of 363. All of the persons had underlying health conditions. The county added 514 cases Sunday and 130 recoveries. 256 persons remain hospitalized with the virus in the county.
A woman is dead in a single-vehicle crash on U-S 50 Alternate near Fernley. Troopers say the crash happened Sunday morning just after snow had fallen. They say the woman’s vehicle rolled over, killing her.
Washoe County deputies rescue a stranded driver and his dog. Police say the 38-year-old man from Fernley took an alternate route and got lost on a dirt road in Sierra County on Saturday night. Rescue crews had trouble reaching him because of the weather. They didn’t find him until about 4 p.m. the next day.
The Wolf Pack will play Tulane in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. It’s happening in Boise on December 22nd. The Pack finished its season 6-2, ranking third in the Mountain West Conference.
