Sisolak extends ‘pause’ through Jan. 15, 2021, encouraging Nevadans to stay home when possible

Nevada remains on a statewide “pause” with Governor Steve Sisolak extending it through January 15th, of 2021. During the pause, Nevadans are asked to stay home as much as possible. Sisolak called the pause a “bridge” between now and when the COVID-19 vaccine becomes widely available. Sisolak cautions, the state is just now seeing the impact of Thanksgiving gatherings.

He’s also reinstated a moratorium on evictions until March 31st, saying it’s impossible for people who are evicted to stay home and they risk spreading COVID-19 to others. In the meantime, the first doses of vaccine are in-state Monday, they’ll be going to front-line health care workers and seniors first.
