A man accused of shooting a Douglas County deputy faces an attempted murder charge. Nicholas Berreman is accused of shooting Sergeant John Lenz in the face during a traffic stop in Gardnerville Sunday night. Berreman was shot in the hand during the exchange of gunfire. Lenz is expected to recover. Berreman is being held on $1 million.
