Lyon County deputies were busy last night investigating multiple reports of loud noises. Witnesses in Fernley described the sound as a “boom, explosion, or thud.” Another says their house and windows shook while yet another says the sound set off their alarm. There was no smell or site associated with the noise. The origin of the weird sound was never found.
