Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care nursing bear cub with burned paws back to health

The Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care is nursing an injured bear cub back to health. The Tahoe-Daily Tribune reports they say the young bear cub was trying to climb a tree and kept falling-that’s because his paws were burned, they suspect, in California wildfires. They say the cub was missing claws and his toes were fused together. He weighed just 19 lbs. and should’ve weighed, at his age 175 lbs. They’re using tilapia fish skins that are acting mile miracle workers to restore his paws. A trailer fire is under investigation in Wadsworth. It happened yesterday on West Truckee River Road. No one was hurt.
