One in 10 Washoe County residents likely have COVID-19, Reno doctors warn as they fear the realities of the Thanksgiving surge haven’t yet fully been realized. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports doctors say those who are hospitalized are more critically ill–with many struggling to breathe. The warning comes as Washoe County’s COVID Threat meter reached its highest level with the county’s positivity rating dangerously close to 22 percent, after 15 straight days of increases.
