The Truckee Meadows COVID Risk Meter did not increase to “severe” as predicted last week. But the reason is a bit grim. Due to deaths, hospital beds opened up…keeping the area in the “very high” range on the risk scale. In the last seven days, Washoe County saw 51 COVID-19 deaths. Seven of those deaths were reported Tuesday. Since the pandemic started, Washoe County saw has seen 378 overall deaths from the virus.
