CA imposes strictest lockdown since spring

California is heading for a state shutdown. Governor Gavin Newsom says the business shut-down will be triggered if and when 15 percent of all hospital beds in intensive care units are left available. He says four of the state’s five regions, that don’t include the San Francisco Bay area, will meet that mark within a day or two. That would mean salons, bars, breweries, casinos, and playgrounds must close. Restaurants would only allow take-out and delivery. Retail would be capped at 20 percent of occupancy during what’s usually their busiest time of year
