Washoe County’s death toll from COVID-19 surpasses 300. Nine new deaths were reported Thursday, bringing the total to 304. Washoe County added nearly 630 new cases and just over 100 recoveries. Currently, more than 90 percent of hospital beds are occupied in the county.

Meantime, Nevada saw its deadliest day from COVID-19 since the pandemic began 10 months ago. The state saw four dozen deaths from the virus Thursdya, bringing the total to just under 2,250. Cases and deaths continue to rise even amid new restrictions.
