Free flu clinics offered in Washoe County

The Washoe County Health District is offering flu shots at drive-thru clinics. They’ll be at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center on Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon and next week too. No appointment is needed.

Containment on Slink Fire in Coleville growing

Containment on the Slink Fire, across the state line, in Coleville, California, is growing. The fire held steady at more than 26,000 acres. Containment stands at 60 percent at last check. It was sparked by lightning more than two weeks ago.

Change in Fatal DUI Law

The Nevada Supreme Court ordered a change in the handling of DUI cases involving fatal crashes by prohibiting prosecutors from charging defendants with second-degree murder.
