8 arrested for DUI in Reno

Eight people were arrested for DUI over the weekend in Reno. The arrests were part of enhanced patrols funded by a state Office of Traffic Safety grant.

7 fires continue to burn in North Complex, near Susanville

Seven fires are still burning north of Reno, near Susanville. The fires were sparked by the lightning in the North Complex in Plumas National Forest Monday. The three largest fires have combined into one fire-known as the Sheep Fire. The whole complex fire is estimated at more than 10-thousand acres.

Home destroyed by fire in Silver Springs

A family in Silver Springs is homeless after a fire. Firefighters from the Central Lyon district, Carson City and Storey County fire departments were called to fight the flames on Prospect Avenue. No one was hurt.
