A retired Washoe County sheriff’s deputy was one of two people killed in a crash on Mt. Rose Highway last week. Driver Jon Weber died at the scene of the cingle-vehicle rollover near Wedge Parkway Thursday. Passenger Carole Kerkla later died at the hospital. Weber worked on detention patrol and on the RAVEN team for 23 years. He retired in January.
