NHP Reports Fatal Hit & Run

Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command says there was a fatal crash on I80 Westbound at Virginia Street Sunday morning. NHP says it was a vehicle versus pedestrian crash, and the driver fled the scene. There is not a description of the suspect’s car at this time. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.

RTC to do major work along Prater Way

Road work is coming to Prater Way. The RTC says pavement on a section of the roadway between Howard Drive and Sparks Boulevard has broken down. While fixing it, they’ll add bike lanes, improve medians, and add sidewalks and pedestrian signals. A man is stabbed in Reno. It happened under a freeway overpass along the River at 2nd and Kietzke Lane early yesterday morning. He’s expected to survive.
