Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command says there was a fatal crash on I80 Westbound at Virginia Street Sunday morning. NHP says it was a vehicle versus pedestrian crash, and the driver fled the scene. There is not a description of the suspect’s car at this time. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A $15,000 reward is being offered for the return of 100 guns that were stolen from a Silver Springs dealer. The burglary at Collectors Arms Trading Company happened last month. Federal agents say the burglars cut locks on the door to break-in.
Road work is coming to Prater Way. The RTC says pavement on a section of the roadway between Howard Drive and Sparks Boulevard has broken down. A man accused of shooting a teen in Huffaker Park gets six years behind bars. James Upton was found guilty of battery with a deadly weapon in October. Police say he and a neighbor got into a fight with some teens and fired at them several times in 2017. A 16-year-old was wounded and hospitalized.
