The Sparks Police Department says crews responded to a call of a robbery at Paul’s Market on Vance Way on Thursday. Officials said a victim reported two men tried to steal items from the store and when the clerk tried to stop the theft by locking the door. One suspect remained outside and fled when the clerk tried to stop them. They said the suspect stealing the merchandise pulled out a weapon and threatened the clerk. Officials said that’s when the suspect was able to get past the clerk and exit on foot. He was identified as Jonathan Calderon. The other suspect is still on the loose.
