Cowboy-boy hat wearing pigeons pop up in Reno

The cowboy-hat wearing pigeons have made their way to Reno. Reno’s city manager posted two photos of pigeons wearing sombreros at 7th and Sutro streets. The birds were first spotted weeks ago in Las Vegas, angering activists who call it a form of animal cruelty.

WCSD Officers to Start Wearing Body Cams

Washoe County School District police officers will start wearing body cameras in August, after the school board approved a contract to purchase the equipment Tuesday night. School board members approved a five-year contract with Axon, the same company which built the cameras worn by Reno Police, Sparks Police and Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies.
