Nevada reported its first death from the new coronavirus Monday. Health officials in Las Vegas said the man who died was in his 60s, had underlayiing health conditions and had been hospitalized with COVID-19.

Washoe County has nine confirmed cases of COVID-19. It says local agencies – and not the C-D-C are now able to confirm test results. Some cases do not include travel outside of Washoe County. In each case, the patients are stable and isolation at home.
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Greater Lake Tahoe area. Up to a foot of snow is expected tonight. Chains and snow tires are required for travel through mountain passes.
