A Washoe County detention deputy tests positive for COVID-19. The deputy was last at work Thursday and got his positive test results Saturday. A second deputy, who worked with him, has tested negative. He’s the fifth detention deputy to contract coronavirus-the other four are recovered and back to work.

Police: Man confesses to murder outside Reno motel

Reno police say a man confessed to the fatal shooting outside the La Quinta Inn on Market Street in Reno last week. Police say Lamar Adams admitted to killing Lynette Lozano. Police say the two had been living together at the time of the murder.
