Shutdown of casinos to end June 4th

The two-month shutdown of casinos in Nevada is coming to an end. Governor Steve Sisolak gave casinos the greenlight to reopen June 4th as the state faces record unemployment and furloughs that could turn into permanent layoffs.

Willow Springs youth residential treatment center fined amid coronavirus outbreak

A Reno youth residential treatment center is fined $17,000 after inspectors say they found chaos amid the coronavirus outbreak. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports a riot was underway at Willow Springs-with infected youth shouting and damaging property. They say the facility was short-staffed and not clean. Cases of COVID-19 tick up in Quad-County region

Cases of COVID-19 rise slightly in the Quad-County region. Four Carson City residents and two Lyon County residents are the latest positive test results. The area also saw nine recoveries. It has a total of 42 active cases, 114 recoveries, and three deaths.
