Reno firefighters make quick work of a small apartment fire downtown. It broke out on the 7th floor of East Lake Mill Lodge just before 10 p.m. Sunday night. Firefighters contained the fire to just a single room. Some residents had to be treated for smoke inhalation.
Police arrest two men in connection with shots fired in west Sparks. It happened early Sunday morning at an apartment on the 1600 block of Merchant Street. Nearby apartments had to be evacuated, and the SWAT team swooped in. Steven Cedeno was arrested along with Carlos Ortiz-Ramirez, who officers say shot the gun.
