State Hires More Contact Tracers

As COVID-19 cases in Nevada rise, state health officials are ramping up efforts to prevent potential outbreaks. On Thursday the state’s COVID-19 response team announced 250 contact tracers have been hired and will start work Saturday to help trace those who have interacted with positive patients. Death toll in Washoe Co. from COVID-19 rises to 67

The death toll from COVID-19 in Washoe County ticks up, bringing the total to 67. The latest death involves a man in his 90s. The total number of cases increased by 44, marking the sixth highest single-day of increases since counting began. 590 cases remain active. Of those, 70 people are currently hospitalized.
